We were appointed to create a substantial bespoke extension to an existing dwelling located in the Snowdonia National Park, where the clients aspirations were allied with our contemporary approach in the context of both function and form. The completed scheme provided a modern yet sympathetic response to the site's location and the wonderful aspect.

The existing topography of the site is that of a sloping one in nature, with the existing dwelling set on a level plateau (encompassing the entrance driveway with a terrace amenity space providing a through route as previously described) 

 

The site is particularly well elevated with a wonderful south/south east/south west aspect, with these factors highly instrumental in the evolution of the proposed concept in respect of, orientation and internal/external layout.  The proposed concept (whilst still individual in it's own right) takes influence from existing buildings/outbuildings in the immediately surrounding area.
